Benefits of CLA Found in Tallow Soap

CLA is Conjugated Linoleic Acid and is found naturally in grass fed ruminent animals (or cows, sheep ,deer, etc..). CLA has had numerous studies indicate the positive benefits of this acid in eliminating cancer, boosting immune function, reducing the effects of asthma and lowering body fat, among a list of other benefits.

Here are just some of the benefits of this amazing ingredient:

  • Asthma Aide:  CLA is a powerful anti-inflammatory which works with the body to reduce leukotrienes (fatty molecules of the immune system) that cause bronchiospasms in individuals suffering from asthma. When the CLA is injested, the body converts the CLA into DHA and EPA, both powerful anti-inflammatory agents that reduce the effects of asthma.

  • Body Fat Reduction:  A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that persons given a CLA supplement versus a placebo, lost an average of .2 pounds per week without loosing valuable lean muscle. In fact, a study done in Turkey found that CLA helps to convert body fat into lean muscle. Because the body does not produce CLA on its own, it is important to eat a diet that consists of high quality grass fed meat and use grass fed tallow skin care products such as soaps.
